These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you (the parent or legal guardian using the Game on behalf of a child) and AI Canadian Solutions ("we", "us", "our") for the Galaxy Defender game and website (the "Game"). By using the Game, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.
Galaxy Defender is made for children, and children are welcome to play it. But the agreement is with the grown-up: a parent or guardian accepts these Terms on the child's behalf, and a child under the age of majority may only play with that grown-up's permission.
Creating an account requires you to be the child's parent or guardian and over 18. Do not create one otherwise.
The Game is free. There are no adverts, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions and no paid tiers. We are not going to introduce any of those into an existing account without telling you first.
The whole Game works without an account. An account exists only so a child's progress can follow them between devices and so a grown-up can see the report card. You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
Please do not:
We may suspend an account that does these things.
A grown-up may ask for progress-report emails. This feature is not built yet — ticking the box records that you want them, and nothing is sent until we build and announce it. We will only ever email the grown-up, never the child.
The optional pilot photo never leaves the device, so we never receive it and have no rights over it. What we do hold is described in the Privacy Policy, and a grown-up can delete all of it at any time from the Parent Zone.
The Game, its name, artwork, pilot characters, music, voice recordings and code belong to AI Canadian Solutions. You get a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to play it for your family's own non-commercial use. Nothing here transfers ownership.
We add features, change balance and retire things that do not work. Progress may occasionally be affected by such changes. We may also stop offering the Game; if we do, we will say so on this site.
The Game is provided “as is”. We work hard on it, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or browser. It is a game, not an educational assessment: it is designed to help a child practise math facts, and it is not a diagnostic tool, a curriculum, or a substitute for teaching.
To the fullest extent the law allows, AI Canadian Solutions is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Game, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us for it — which is nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as permitted.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction.
If we change them we will update this page and its date. Continuing to use the Game after a change means you accept it.
